Chimney climbing by moonduster Chimney climbing by moonduster
This is my first tabby cat, Casey. She was a manx with absolutey no tail. The dog, Brandy, was the only dog I ever owned. She was a shelty. This was taken on the first day the two pets met. This photo is VERY old; I took it when I was about 12 or 13, I think. (I will be turning 32 this month.) I think the camera was an old 110, but I can't really remember. I don't recommend looking at it too closely. As I said, it is a scan of a VERY old photo, so the quality isn't very good.

No, because of the problem with her spine my family had her put down when she was only about 5 years old. :( She was a very cute cat though.

We had neighbours that kept telling us about a wild cat that kept trying to get into their house whenever they opened their sliding door in the back. It was years before we found out that the "wild cat" that were talking about was our little manx!

Even though your kitty had the determination to climb, I like the shelties determination to watch her climb LOL I was thinking a manx was a wild cat? But she looks like the normal everyday cat just with no tail? Either case, she was a cutie and that dog is adorable. I'm sad that they're both in pet heaven. And I've heard how smart Shelties are and collies. My hubby wanted to get a sheltie when we were looking at dogs, but I thought shelties were miniature collies and I rather of had a full sized collie. But I know shelties get bigger than the miniature collies and just slightly smaller than the regular collie. NOW I know that. But the pet shop people didn't know.....go figure! Anyways, I got a shih szu instead. Talk about extremes.

lol! When she was grown, she had tufts of fur at the top of her ears, and our neighbours kept talking about a wildcat that kept trying to get into their house everytime they opened their doow. Later, we found out it was her they were talking about! (She just ACTED wild. lol!)

Brandy, our sheltie, was a little big for ashelty anyway. I actually really like rough collies. The shelties over hear in England are tiny!

Thanks for going though my gallery to find the photo! And for commenting! :)

Thanks! I agree about the fur! We used to take her to get groomed once a month! She always looked so pretty when she came home with bows in her ears and her fur looking soft and shiny. lol! She HATED going! But they are VERY smart dogs.

I no longer have the Shelty, but she was a great dog to have! She always tried to heard us (my brothers and sisters and I). She and Casey (the manx) became the best of friends. This picture was when they first met, so Brandy immediately wanted to be friends, but Casey wasn't too sure about her at the time.
